Reading Reflection 3

The Wright Brothers by David McCullough

-What surprised me greatly is how long the wright brothers pursued their dream of flying. 10 years is so long. Anyone doing that for 10 years is very admirable.

- What I least admired was the fact that they isolated themselves for so long. That couldn't be healthy.

- Wilbur's accident set them back and had them a little unattentive to studies and other issues. Even still, they did not see any kind of goal as unattainable. I love that mindset and outlook.  I also cannot believe how much people fought the wright brothers' dream about flying.

- I would want to ask the wright brothers if they felt the time go by slow or fast. Was it boring or did they feel the time fly by. Also, I would want to know what it took to convince people of their product after it was finished. I would not want to work for so long for no one to believe in what I made or fight it.

- they're opinion on hard work must be that dedication is one of the central and most powerful factors.

  1. Hi Hassan,
I think the story of the wright brothers is one of the motivational stories of all time. There many people that were against them and they literally had to risk their lives to prove to everyone that they could fly and that is was safe. They changed our lives more than any movies we've seen, athletes we follow, or people we've met.

  2. Hi Hasssan,

I liked your choice of reading as the Wright Brothers have greatly changed how humans travel. They were the pioneers of aviation that helped set the pavement for future engineers/ inventors to bring people physically close together. I am amazed at how long the Wright Brothers spent their time pursuing their dream in creating something that has never been done before. I sometimes wonder if people today would have that much patience and passion to accomplish such a feat.
