a) Pedestrian, 16, dies after being hit by car
A kid walking home after school was hit by a car that swayed off the road in front of my house, ended up dying in the ICU.
That road gets crowded or busy and is not monitored much by police officers. It should have more control on it.
The city and the police department have the problem, and so do the residents. The fatalities affect all of them.
b) Is Florida trying to Kill me?
At a museum in Gainesville, a researcher from the entomology department is giving a talk about the importance of mosquitos, wildfires, and other nature related topics. There a lot of things in florida that can harm you from bugs, to the sun. Hey Hassan, great work on your post. I found the story about the 16 year old to be very heartbreaking and agree with you that something needs to be done to fix this issue. Putting up more cameras is a good start to fixing this. Another solution could be having routine drive by's by police officers to make sure everything is good and no one is being reckless on the streets.
ReplyDeleteHi Hassan,
ReplyDeleteI think there is some kind of formatting problem with your post so that it isn't displaying properly. It could just be my computer but I wanted to let you know. I am personally interested in the story you shared about coffee shops and how they have shifted from a place to get product to an experience of a place to network and study. I think that a way coffee shops can encourage customers to keep going there to get coffee is to lean into the perception they have of being a place to hang out. Thanks for sharing this article!
